GRANT — Southern SARE: On-Farm Research Grants

 

Who Is Eligible? Cooperative Extension, NRCS, university personnel, governmental and non-governmental organizations who currently work with farmers and ranchers and are interested in conducting on-farm research or marketing projects related to sustainable agriculture are eligible to apply for the On-Farm Research Grant. Farmers are not eligible, but are eligible for Producer Grants. Applicants must complete a proposal describing their project and explaining how it will help producers understand and adopt sustainable agriculture practices.

What Activities Are Eligible? On-farm research and marketing projects that promote sustainable agriculture. Projects should be innovative, generate results that are useful beyond one year, and produce information that many farmers can use.

How much? Projects may be funded up to TWO years for a project maximum of $15,000.
