Collaborative Ag Network Seed Funding Application

The WNC Collaborative Agricultural Network of the Western NC Food Justice Planning Initiative is launching a participatory budget process to fund a first round of farmer-driven, regional collaborative projects.

What does that mean? We have up to $20k available to fund collaborative agricultural projects meeting our goal of developing a just food system, supporting local (within the western 18 county region) farmer projects. Our goal is intentionally broad, allowing for creative solutions to the many challenges in our food system.

However, we are seeking projects that address the themes that were identified through a participatory action research project that consulted farmers about what they felt the priorities for the region are.

All applicants will need to participate in a facilitated participatory funding process, deciding as a group which projects will be supported on September 28th at Earthaven Ecovillage.

The deadline for applications is Monday, September 5th, 2022.
