DESCRIPTION:Do a deep dive in our shallow streams and creeks on the Farm with our friends at Asheville’s own Environmental Quality Institute!\nStart off with Stream Macroinvertebrate Information Exchange protocol and get into the stream for active sampling and identification.\nLearn about our Holistic Land Management from Farm Director Virginia\, and how this practice works in tandem with waterways and stream health.\nSpotted on the farm by our farm crew\, staff & neighbors: crawdads\, salamanders\, toads\, frogs\, snakes\, snails and other mollusks! Our waters have been monitored by local organizations for Eastern Hellbender activity\, and we have actively breeding hellbender populations.\nAttendees will break for an included biscuit brunch* from butcher Brian’s kitchen\, as kick-netting is hungry work.
