Saturday June 28th noon-3pm we bring together hand made local art and support for hyper local urban food security at this live auction benefiting Bountiful Cities food and agriculture programs. Bountiful Cities is a local nonprofit supporting long-term food security through agriculture and culinary education for youth and adults rooted in promoting social justice\, economic sustainability\, and environmental health. Handcrafted Birdhouses and local experiences such as “Dining in the Garden\,” “Flower Arranging with Carolina Flowers\,” and “Create Your own Ice Cream Flavor at The Hop Ice Creamery” will be auctioned off\, and attendees will get to sample food and beverages from local restaurants including The Hop Ice Cream\, OWL Bakery\, Sunny Point Café\, and Devil’s Foot Beverage\, while they bid on auction items. Burial Beer will also be selling beverages and their rooftop bar will be open for attendees.

DESCRIPTION:Cultivate Our Community with this uniquely tasteful event to be held from 11:00am to 5 p.m. Sunday\, Nov. 2nd\, at Olivette Farm Stand at 172 Old Macedonia Rd.\, Alexander NC. FREE to attend\, with any donation proceeds benefiting the local food pantry Beacon of Hope Services. Local and regional fermenters will be presenting their products with several hosting free fermenting demonstrations and sharing skills in preparing beneficial food and drinks such as jun\, koji\, gluten free sourdough\, ciders/fruit wines\, animal food\, chocolates\, and vegan cheese. Vendors will share their products\, information\, and resources on the benefits of eating probiotic rich and locally grown fermented foods. Live printed t-shirts\, ceramic artists\, farmers\, food trucks\, local resources and other treasures will be on site. This family friendly event is designed to bring all members of Asheville\, greater WNC and surrounding localities together to honor each other and our communities through the support of fermentation\, food preservation\, farming\, and food security. \nFarm Tours Will Also be given by Olivette during this time and musical guest Your Friends Band will be joining us again this year!
