A free screening of the acclaimed documentary Kiss the Ground will take place at McDowell Arts Council Association (MACA)\, located at 50 S Main St\, Marion\, NC 28752. \nHosted by McDowell Arts Council Association\, McDowell Local Food Advisory Council\, NC Cooperative Extension-McDowell Center\, MATCH\, and West Marion Inc.\, this special event is designed to bring people together around a message of hope: that healing our soil can help heal our planet. \nNarrated by Woody Harrelson\, Kiss the Ground offers a compelling and visually stunning look at how regenerative agriculture can draw down carbon\, restore ecosystems\, and strengthen our food systems. More than a film\, it’s an invitation to see climate action through a new lens\, one rooted in the ground beneath our feet and the farms in our own backyard. \nGuests will enjoy a welcoming\, community-centered evening with free dinner beginning at 5:00 PM and the film screening at 5:30 PM. Free childcare will also be provided.
