SUMMARY:Regional Leadership Workshop: Making Local Government Work for You
DESCRIPTION:Join us for one of our Fall Regional Leadership Workshops. “Making Local Government Work for You”. This training is open to rural nonprofits\, community groups\, and faith-based organizations located in North Carolina. \nHelping organizations navigate and engage with local government is crucial for community development and growth. Therefore\, we’re excited about our agenda which includes hands-on activities\, resource sharing\, and peer presentations. \nWe are committed to making sure that our workshops are accessible and comfortable to participants. This training is FREE and we are providing AM snacks\, lunch\, and a mileage allowance. We’ll host the workshop twice\, once in Western\, NC\, and once in Eastern\, NC. Mileage will be paid from the workshop closest to where you live.

DESCRIPTION:Use peasant technology to make vegetable farming fun and easy! \nInstructor Adam Klaus and his family grow a large garden at Earthaven that requires minimal outside purchases and produces exceptional vegetables. They devised a system drawing from the traditions of Korean natural farming\, biodynamics\, and permaculture. \nIn this workshop\, you will learn what they do and how to prepare your garden this autumn for a productive spring. The workshop is Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. A tour of Earthaven Ecovillage is available Saturday morning\, along with camping and Dances of Universal Peace on Saturday evening.
