SUMMARY:Climate Resilience Training
DESCRIPTION:This training is primarily geared towards established farms (3+ years in production). Farmers will gain an understanding of how to assess their risk due to changing climate\, identify and evaluate opportunities to become more resilient as the climate changes. This training incorporates models for risk assessment currently being used in other regions (Upper Midwest & New England) and adapts them for use based on expected climatic trends in Southern Appalachia. \nExperts on Tap\, Not On Top:\nThis is a cohort based training that centers farmer experience and knowledge. Subject area experts\, such as agricultural extension agents and technical assistance providers\, will be engaged as part of the process to supplement and further contextualize the knowledge that farmers already bring to the table. \nRegistration: https://share.hsforms.com/1CC3xkZzlQuuJJ8nOoiNF8Qcney9\nScholarships: https://share.hsforms.com/1CC3xkZzlQuuJJ8nOoiNF8Qcney9
