Through funding from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, ASAP is providing mini-grants (up to $200.00 per market) for farmers markets in North Carolina to develop and conduct health engagement activities to promote their markets, bring in new customers, build connections with community partners, and offer positive experiences with fresh local food. We encourage markets to be creative in designing engagement activities around these goals, but also offer these examples to spur ideas.
Applications are currently being accepted for this Farm Fresh for Health Mini-Grant. Applications are approved on a rolling basis, and are available until funds run out. Applications will be selected based upon strength and ingenuity of project. Awards will be provided on a 50% up front, and 50% following project completion basis. Please click on the link below to submit an application.
If you have any questions, or if you would like assistance in developing a project for you market, contact Mireille Aleman – ASAP’s Program Assistant, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (828)236-1282.
