Who Is Eligible? You must be a farmer, or rural resident to obtain a loan from Carolina Farm Credit, ACA. All loans are underwritten on their individual merits, within the bounds of the Association’s Credit Policy.
What Activities Are Eligible? We can make loans for any purpose to a full or part-time farmer. We can finance all of your agricultural, family, or personal needs. We also finance rural residential lots, and rural residences to non-farmers.
How much? Operating loans are due within the operating cycle. Equipment, vehicles, and minor capital improvements have terms from 2-7 years. Major real estate improvements up to 10 years. Real estate up to 20 years. Required minimum down payment on real estate loans is 15% plus closing costs. USDA FSA has a 90% farm loan guarantee program that allows us to finance up to 97% if the AV or purchase price with the guarantee.
