Who Is Eligible?
Applicants must reside in North Carolina, be at least 18 years of age, and be a Certified Beekeeper as determined by the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association.
What Activities Are Eligible?
Grant funds may be used for the purchase of new hives (the container structure, not the bee colonies) or for the purchase of materials to construct new hives.
How much?
Funding limits are $200 per hive and $2,400 per grant recipient.
Application deadline:
Grant applications are completed online and are due by December 15th. Funding for approved applications is expected to be available between February and June of 2018.
