CSA Fair

ASAP’s 2016 Asheville CSA Fair
When: Thursday, March 10, 3-6 pm
Where: Jubilee! 46 Wall Street, Asheville
This event is free and open to the public.

ASAP’s Annual CSA Fair is an opportunity to meet farmers face-to-face and learn about their CSA programs and products.  You can sign up to learn more, or bring your checkbook to subscribe on the spot! Groups from workplaces and congregations are encouraged to attend, as many farms will deliver direct to these locations if numbers allow.

Participating farms all have pickup locations in Asheville or Buncombe County. The fair will feature family friendly activities, a local food tasting, and seasonal recipes to start planning your CSA dishes.

As a CSA member you will receive a weekly box (or share) of fresh locally grown produce or meats throughout the growing season. Many CSAs also feature add-on options such as eggs and fresh-cut flowers. Today, there are a growing number of CSAs moving beyond the traditional model with varied subscription sizes and flexible sign-up options. New models even include “shopping” for a CSA box at a farmers market. The CSA Fair offers the opportunity to ask local farmers what products and custom options they offer.

A list of participating farms will be posted soon!
