Chicken Processing Volunteer Opportunity

Wild East Farm is a small regenerative farm focused on pastured livestock and perennial foods. We are inviting volunteers to participating in processing meat chickens here at the farm on May 27 at 8:30am. We expect to wrap up by 1:30pm.
We take every effort to process our animals efficiently, safely, and with respect for the animal. We move at a brisk pace to ensure minimal stress on the animals. Volunteers need to be prepared to abide by those principles and participate in any part of the process while working with the team. Our goal is that you become comfortable and confident in the process, build skills, and learn a lot while you are here!
We will provide refreshments (snacks and drinks) and volunteers can head home with a whole chicken. Our chickens are rotated daily on pasture and fed 100% organic feed.
Volunteers will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival.
