The Mobile Advantage Recordkeeping Software (MARS) was designed to do so much more than simply track producer transactions. Through its analytical tools, MARS has the ability to give insight into each income and expense category based on the Schedule F tax form. While there are many recordkeeping tools available, the MARS app was structured to fit the needs of small and beginning farmers and assist them with the completion of the annual Schedule F tax form, which is also required for the Whole Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP) Crop Insurance Program.
In 2018 AgriLogic began development of the app through a partnership program with the USDA Risk Management Agency to design a tool that would give small and beginning farmers an easier way to keep track of their records and ultimately allow them eligibility toward the WFRP Program. The final version of MARS was released to the public in February 2020 on both the Apple Store and Google Play for all iOS and Android devices. The MARS App is free to download to all producers.
The MARS App features user friendly income and expense reporting, mileage tracking, and photo receipt options for efficiency and ease of use. A work offline option is also available for producers who work in remote areas. Additional features coming soon include exported reports in PDF and Excel formats.
