Position Overview:
Hickory Nut Gap Farms is seeking a motivated, friendly, and hardworking individual to join our team in a Full Time role. This position will involve working at our retail store, helping with farmers markets, and providing support in our kitchen when needed. This is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a passion for local food and community engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in our retail store, providing product knowledge and excellent customer service.
• Help set up, break down, and sell products at various farmers markets in the region.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
• Provide support in the kitchen for food preparation, cleaning, and organization.
• Ensure all products are displayed attractively and meet quality standards.
• Participate in special events or promotions as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills and a passion for food and local farming.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule.
• Previous retail, market, or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work weekends and some evenings as needed.
• Must have a positive attitude and enjoy engaging with customers.
