We are a u-pick farm growing with organic practices offering vegetables, herbs, berries, flowers, and more! We also offer a CSA program and a farm stand stocked with locally produced goods and handmade items. Enjoy a fresh farm-to-brick-oven pizza at our colorful picnic tables, walk the fields and pick your own berries and flowers, take a wagon tour of the farm, wander our sunflower maze, and enjoy live music (Saturday only, from 3 to 6 p.m.). The tour will take you around our farm, along the river and fields, and drop you at the sunflower maze. Get a special kid-focused tour from our son—a.k.a., the eldest intern—to learn about our family farm.

Turn left onto Williams St., slight right onto Smathers St., right onto Spring St., left onto Academy St., right onto Pennsylvania Ave., and left onto Locust St. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto NC-110 S/Pisgah Dr. After 5 miles, turn right onto US-276 N. In .6 mile, turn left onto Lake Logan Rd., then left onto Chambers Farm Ln. The farm will be on your right.

We have a wide variety of fruit trees and berry patches, as well as a pumpkin patch. Beehives may be viewed from a distance. See our apple sorter and vinegar-making equipment that we use to produce value-added products. Come meet the herd at our family-owned farm. We raise alpacas and llamas and create Appalachian Grown fiber goods while welcoming guests to slow down, learn, and connect with the land. Visitors can meet the herd at the fenceline, offer approved treats, see fiber samples, and learn about daily camelid care—from pasture management and wellness to shearing and the many uses of alpaca fiber. Enjoy a farm walk around the pond, explore our newly planted food forest, view the thriving pollinator garden and visit with our on-site partner vendors including conservation partner NCRS, JS Soaps, and Sweet Cub Ice Cream. Alpaca and llama fiber goods will be available to purchase, and our team will be on hand to answer all of your herd questions.

Addison Farms Vineyard is a fourth-generation family farm in Leicester. We started our vineyard in 2009 to preserve this working farm for future generations. Visit with the Addison Farms Vineyard team to hear about our farm history, growing grapes, and wine making. Take in vineyard views from our front porch. Depending on the weather, you may be able to view the grape harvest in action. All ages welcome, though those 21 or older can experience our wines in our tasting room. Tours will occur every half hour on the hour and half hour.

We are a diversified livestock farm with 40 acres of pasture, orchards, and wild spaces. Take a guided tour through the fields to see our sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. Learn about regenerative land management and silvopasture systems both planted and wild. We have a young hazelnut orchard and a riparian zone filled with persimmons trees, aronia berries, paw paws, locust, willow, and more. Linger along the farm paths and enjoy the scenery.

DIRECTIONS: From Patton Avenue, travel about 15 miles on Highway 63/New Leicester Highway. Take a left onto State Road 1394/Sandy Mush Creek Road (this is the first paved road on the left after the Reeves Grocery). Travel for 1.4 miles and the farm will be on your left. The street sign says “Little Bluestem Lane” but 293 Sandy Mush Creek Road is the correct GPS address.

Our farm is located in a quiet cove in the Big Sandy Mush area of Leicester. We raise a flock of 120 sheep for meat, wool and sheepskins. We also tend pawpaw orchards. Visit our unique solar-powered, diversified, sustainable farmstead with vegetable and flower gardens, orchards, mushrooms, and chickens. We’ll demonstrate how our farm uses regenerative techniques to produce fruits and vegetables while preserving the native ecosystem. Our geodesic dome, one of six greenhouses, has a permaculture installation of avocados, pomegranates, and wasabi. Check out our metal work and welding fabrication in our blacksmith shop. Tour our newly constructed tiny house built from salvaged materials. Kids can follow a scavenger hunt or take a special kid-led tour. We are nestled in a scenic high mountain valley with a rushing stream and surrounding nature preserve. Come learn to live with the land!

Turn right onto Mountain Creek Rd. and continue for 4.2 miles. Turn right onto US-64 W/US-74 ALT W and travel for 5.8 miles. Turn left onto State Rd. 1184/Rocks Spring Rd. Visit our boutique winery on a 70-acre family farm. We grow 16 acres of French vinifera focusing primarily on Petit Manseng, an elegant aromatic white originally from southwest France, as well as red varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. We are also cultivating two acres of organic blueberries for u-pick and future winemaking. Take a walking tour of our vineyards and cellars and learn how we create old world–style wines using modern, innovative techniques.
