Madison County Land Summit
NC State Extension and ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project) are partnering to present a half-day workshop for landowners and land seekers. With all of the changes in land ownership occurring across the state there are many impacts to people who own farm and forest land or who may purchase or inherit undeveloped property. This workshop is intended to help both existing and potential landowners become more familiar with the legal, business, and regulatory concerns. The following topics will be covered at the workshop:

- Madison County FarmLand Preservation Program
- NC Farmlink’s Services
- Free Mediation Services for Family Farm Succession
- Conserving Carolina-Mitigation Projects
- NCDA-Farmland Preservation and Conservation Easements
- Extension Agricultural Law Specialist On-Site to Answer Questions
